Le Player 4 is a CD transport, which do not provide the digital to analog conversion, while Le Player 4+ integrates DAC functionality.
Le Player 4 has different types of digital outputs : S/PDIF, AES EBU, and HDMI, which makes it compatible with most of the existing converters.
